Woe to the city of oppressors, rebellious and defiled! She obeys no one, she accepts no correcton. She does not trust in the Lord, she does not draw near to her God.

First thought: why is it that cities are given female pronouns? But then, as I considered this, I realized the importance that women play in community. Women are often the glue that bind people together… so, perhaps we also need to look to the communities in which we participate … and to pray, if they are in rebellion to God. What is community? First begin small: family, then neighborhood, small group, parent-teacher group, home school association, sports team, club, church, para-church group, city or town, state, nation, continent, hemisphere, world… all communities. Pray for your “community” to turn back to the Lord, to repent. The time is at hand.
