Psalm: 14:2-3
The Lord looks down from heaven on the sons of men to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God. All have turned aside, they have together become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.

If it is true that understanding is an appreciation of the “why” in our lives, then it is no surprise that the Lord can find no one who understands. The sorrow comes we realize that our response to not understanding is similar to the teenage cliche … “whatever” instead of seeking God for the answers.
